Artemis was established in 2022 as a spin-out of the buyside and market intelligence divisions of a boutique investment bank.
We’d spent the past 5 years helping private equity and strategic acquirers deploy billions into lower mid-market M&A deals in digital and consulting . As these sectors took off, particularly through the Pandemic, we deployed, refined, deployed and further refined our team, process and data sets to help these clients identify, assess and engage best fit, actionable targets in the sector and deliver smart transactions.
Independence offered a dual opportunity.
We could continue to develop our deep, proprietary data sets and extensive market relationships to generate more transactions for the buyside (no longer tied to a traditional sell-side agenda hardwired to multilateral auctions). And we could pursue a modern, holistic buyside M&A origination agenda founded on tech, trust and talent:

We work throughout the investment cycle: anywhere or everywhere from thesis to close. We are 100% buyside with deep sector insight and origination expertise. We build successful long-term relationships with smart buyers and investors.
Our results speak for themselves. In 22 completed origination sprints since we became independent, >50% of our clients have executed an LOI with a target we brought to them, resulting in 11 deals (9 of these off-market).
LEADERSHIP
Paul is CEO of Artemis Origination and leads strategy, operations and overall business development at the firm. He previously worked at in private equity coverage at Citi, and subsequently at a European tech incubator and a global engineering business in corporate development. He has founded, built and exited several businesses in sectors from technology to leisure & hospitality. He holds an English literature degree from Cambridge, an MBA from Bayes and is a fluent Portuguese speaker.
Dora is a Director at Artemis and heads origination and execution capabilities at the firm. Her prior experience spans investment banking at JP Morgan and investor roles across private and public equity, with a specific focus on IT services and B2B SaaS. She has successfully led investment strategies and deals for >30 acquirers since joining Artemis. She graduated from Columbia University in New York and is proud of her Croatian heritage.
Daniel is Senior Adviser to Artemis and supports development of the company’s overall strategy. He also participates in selected client engagements as a subject matter expert. He has over 30 years’ experience in M&A, much of that at Accenture, where he oversaw the firm’s phenomenal growth in activity since the early 2000s – and subsequently at Microsoft, where he led growth and strategy for the Industry Solutions group. He is based in Dusseldorf.
